While gathering driftwood for the clam pieces, I kept finding fantastic pieces that would make better staffs and walking sticks than bases for clam art. And so I have "branched out" so to speak, and have begun making these pieces of wood into fantastically decorated Wizard Staffs, recreational walking sticks and Shaman-like sticks. Keep checking back, as I will surely be adding more as I find them and "spruce" them up! Okay...enough tree puns...

For Clam-It creations you can wear!

Decorative Creations made from fresh water clam shells collected from the shores of Smith Mountain Lake in Franklin County, Virginia, as well as nearby waterways. Refrigerator magnets, jewelry, nick-knacks and more! As I've just begun this endeavor, and am awaiting more tools and raw materials with which to create a more diverse inventory of items, I have begun with a little item I like to call the "Clam-it-Fly". These are currently available as refrigerator magnets, brooches and just plain old figurines with legs that you can set on your desk, shelf or wherever you might want to stick your Clam-it! Also, keep your eyes open soon for "Clam-it-Fly Colonies"! Driftwood decorations with groups of Clam-it-flies and other decorations. Also, Clam-it-fly mobiles! But Clam-it-Flies will not be the only design or item to come from Clam-Its. Very soon, there will be standard jewelry: necklaces and earrings made in simple, elegant designs. Also, more refrigerator magnets of alternate design, and much more! All items are made from clam shells that I have collected myself, and are hand crafted one at a time by me and the occasional bored helper.
